Grand Tetons 07

How we love the Tetons! It has been since Lizzy and I moved to Washington, DC that I have been to the Tetons. It was a joy to return to what I believe to be the most beautiful scenery on earth! We had a wonderful time boating, fishing, and spending time with family. Lizzy wasn't able to make the trip because of poor planning. Her parents were in DC during the trip and she decided to stay in the big city to be with them. She was missed. Here are some pictures from our great trip!

Dad getting back from a swim to Signal Mountain to get Momma a coke. Dad had gone in to the lodge to get her a coke but ended up with a Diet Coke. We found a coke on the boat and my Dad jumped in the water swam around the boat and climbed on the boat telling my Mom he swam to Signal Mountain to get her a coke. What a guy!

Fly Fishing Flat Creek

The view from Flat Creek of the Tetons...

On our way to Flat Creek we stopped and saw a big heard of buffalo... a couple of them got a little aggressive with us

I caught this beautiful cutthroat trout on my first cast. We were walking the river head hunting, and I cast into the brush on the side of the river, wiggled it onto the water....BAM! Fish on! Flat Creek was a fun river to fish; the fish made us work hard but when you hit one it was well worth it.

Big cutthroat on Flat Creek

Dad was very patient with this fish and threw about everything in his box but the patience paid off, he finally hit him! Well done Dad!
